Jämijärvi airfield in the Jämijärvi municipality is in a sense a cradle for General Aviation, where e.g. Finnish Gliding had its beginnings. Parachute Club of Utti (ULK) was founded in 1963. By the number of members and activity ULK is today the second biggest skydiving club in Finland. Club members together with visiting skydivers make a total of 5000 - 8000 skydives per year. This includes trainingjumps of 200 - 250 SL/AFF- and 100+ tandemstudents.
A small dropzone in the rural Finland. We have great facilities for jumpers in every dicipline. The airport is mainly in our private use, so no holds. You can also stay for the night at the dz during our visit: we have a sleeping cottage and sauna available.
